Be always willing to help others perform better.
When I was preparing for my professional exams, there was a particular subject module that was notoriously difficult for students to pass. I took it upon myself to form a tutorial group to teach others this subject.
This strategy helped me understand the subject better as I prepared for the tutorials. I went on to become the best Graduating Student; winning three Subject Awards and eventually The Professional Bodies Association Award for that year.
This was a huge honor.
I was pleased that my mother was in that Auditorium to celebrate this achievement on that day!
Each time my name was called to mount the podium and receive an award, I felt the question behind the stares much more than the noise of the applause.
“How did she do it?”
Of course, since then helping others succeed in business and personal life has become some kind of calling.
I also get better in the process.
Help? Anyone?
