Much like a motor vehicle with thousand of parts playing a role to make it move, our speed and productivity as individuals and organizations is determined by the quality and efficiency of each of the component parts.
It is no longer enough for you to play your role in the organization effectively. You must endeavor to be THE Enabler or Facilitator for others to achieve their goals as well. You should not be the one that points out the rules as a gate for not making things happen.
You are the one that gives information on how to comply WITH the rules and so get things done.
When the file or email comes to your desk, view it as a baton passed to you in the relay race for your team/ country to win.
If we can take this perspective our organizations whether private, public, government or non profit would be more successful and the people more productive.
Don’t be a gatekeeper . Be an ENABLER!
